Annecy

We went on a little day trip to Annecy with the Fujitas about 10 days ago. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good... The day dawned with heavy clouds, but the weather forecast for Annecy said "sunny, partly cloudy". So we left Geneva with our hearts full of hope. Then it started to rain.

In the car...

We paused briefly to take a look at this very picturesque bridge, le Pont des Cailles.

It spanned a fairly steep ravine. The river running below was really far down. Here is the view from the bridge.

Don't look down...

The view from between the slats of the bridge. The white blob is my hand, because looking down from between the slats was near panic-inducing. (I'm not so good with heights.)

The picturesque little river in Annecy.

We had to cancel our picnic by the lake because of the rain. We borrowed a table at the local fast food joint and ate our food there instead.

View of the city from castle grounds.

Some guy had a large opening in his roof. I wonder how that works.

View towards the lake and mountains.

Le Chateau d'Annecy.

Strolling down a side street.

Picturesque.

Locks?

Seb by the lake.

The four adventurers.
